Sri Lanka Elephant Wildlife Safari
Each year from July to early November this centrally located National Park plays host to hundreds of elephants travelling to the shores of an ancient reservoir. They've made the trip for centuries, coming from across the region to bathe, mate, socialise and, most importantly, to feed as part of an annual event known as "The Gathering." This is Sri Lanka’s great wild elephant migration. Seeing massive herds of elephants bathe and play in the wild is an unforgettable experience.
Below are photographs from some of our recent couples' elephant safaris when on honeymoon and holiday in Sri Lanka.
