This luxury 4* Safari Resort is a great place to stay if you want to connect the Tea Plantations to the South Coast and also if you want to tap in to Sri Lanka's wonderful elephants. It opened in 2012 and generally speaking this area of the island has limited luxury accommodation options so the hotel is a really welcome addition. It is set in seven acres of green tropical gardens, and the hotel spreads across two separate structures that are linked by an overhead bridge with a twisting waterway below. Well-appointed bedrooms and suites are housed in one building while a spacious restaurant is in the other. The gardens are scattered with tall tropical trees that attracts numerous birds and the occasional monkey. Rise at dawn and venture off on a wildlife safari if you like or just enjoy the natural surroundings of this lovely part of the island and kick back by the poolside with a beverage.

It is ideally situated just 10-15minute drive from the Uda Walawe National Park entrance, meaning it's about the most convenient place to stay if you want to do the elephant wildlife safari here. Also close to hand is the Elephant Transit Home where elephants are rehabilitated with the aim of returning them to the wild.
